Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Vennersten in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Östersunds FK's goalkeeper Niklas Rudkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 24th minute, Leif Engström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ragnar Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niklas Rudkvist. Niklas Rudkvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 39 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niklas Rudkvist, 3-1. After 42 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Leif Engström's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Engström helped the player get up and apologised. Niklas Rudkvist was a little too slow when Felix Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ragnar Vennersten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Greger Collin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Greger Collin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ragnar Vennersten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ragnar Vennersten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niklas Rudkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Niklas Rudkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Östersunds FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
