After 5 minutes, Christian Minaud mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elegance Dijon and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Elegance Dijon got a freekick which was hit by Christian Minaud. Dave Rinaldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 7th minute of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute. After 11 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Elegance Dijon's Dave Rinaldi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Rinaldi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Elegance Dijon's Dave Rinaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. Fabien Cantin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 45 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dave Rinaldi. Elegance Dijon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabien Cantin made a kick off. In the 59th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th match minute, Elegance Dijon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Agnel to maneuver through the defense. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dave Rinaldi quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Elegance Dijon's Christian Minaud got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Minaud came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabien Cantin in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabien Cantin during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabien Cantin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elegance Dijon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stéphane Gaudy in the 93rd minute. The corner ended in Stéphane Gaudy almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Fabien Cantin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
