Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marcial Ourente kicked off to start the match. Guaberto Henry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Luz Tejedor hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Flores Arlt's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Efrain Guillem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Milagros Fraga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Flores Arlt's Efrain Guillem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play. Efrain Guillem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Marcial Ourente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcial Ourente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gerardo Bedoya in the 47 minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flores Arlt's Sabin Răchită was substituted for Marcial Ourente. Sabin Răchită blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. In the 80th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Efrain Guillem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Gallo's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Artemio Cheche threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rafael Gallo scored 1-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Efrain Guillem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Peru booed when Flores Arlt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Bedoya didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Henry in the 95th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Flores Arlt throughout the match.
