Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Virgílio Domingues kicked off to start the match. ITAMARATY's Vladimír Veleta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 2nd minute of play. In the 3rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ITAMARATY's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vladimír Veleta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vladimír Veleta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Germano Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimír Veleta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 13 minutes into the match, ITAMARATY's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Vladimír Veleta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimír Veleta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 16th minute of play. Vladimír Veleta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladimír Veleta. ITAMARATY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A collision led to ITAMARATY getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Germano Vander hit a great ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute Virgílio Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimír Veleta having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ITAMARATY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimír Veleta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 45 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimír Veleta was left in no man's land by his defense there! The ITAMARATY players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vladimír Veleta firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of ITAMARATY booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 played minutes ITAMARATY got a freekick which was hit by Chrisostomos Koutas. After having played for 57 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladimír Veleta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute. If Germano Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Germano Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ITAMARATY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Germano Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vladimír Veleta could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 75th minute. Vladimír Veleta made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. ITAMARATY's Cássio Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cássio Peres hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. With a little luck, ITAMARATY's Vladimír Veleta got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after ITAMARATY's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ITAMARATY's goalie and right to Agustín Saelices. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ITAMARATY's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Daniel Zorita was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 92 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
