An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan Martins in the 20th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Carlos Fernando Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 26th minute. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Trigo having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruben Paz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafa Teixeira got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Fernando Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 94th minute of play. Dinamo Colorado's Carlos Fernando Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Zorita in the 101st minute of play.
