Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jimmy Lind showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. After 41 minutes Maraponga FAC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Despite this Mané Andrade quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mané Andrade made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Darren Verlet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Darren Verlet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute Cristiano Osmundsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
