Orxata I Fartons's Janich Sodborg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Orxata I Fartons from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Janich Sodborg in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orxata I Fartons's Janich Sodborg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Henry Roos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henry Roos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Janich Sodborg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zarando Manrique in the 91st minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Orxata I Fartons's corner Romeo Pio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Orxata I Fartons's zone, Antonio Tenorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janich Sodborg came out of the goal and Antonio Tenorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
