Club Deportivo O IRIXO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Tafalla came free, but Claudio Aznar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Perico Caminero kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Honduras booed when Club Deportivo O IRIXO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perico Caminero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Club Deportivo O IRIXO got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Gil. Claudio Aznar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 38th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Espiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Claudio Aznar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 43 minutes, Enrique Pastor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo O IRIXO and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Deportivo O IRIXO getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Enrique Pastor hit a great ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Club Deportivo O IRIXO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Honduras were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrei Gil made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Club Deportivo O IRIXO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute Luca Espinar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Aznar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Gil in the 65th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Navarro charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo O IRIXO's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Aznar came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Aznar. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Villa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 89th minute of the match, Sebastian Villa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudio Aznar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 90th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Canal made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Perico Caminero. The Club Deportivo O IRIXO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Honduras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
