John Skytt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Joel Cristofor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 14th minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Joel Cristofor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Cristofor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Monty Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Cristofor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that John Skytt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Skytt in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 33rd minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Joel Cristofor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Cristofor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, NECKER49's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Joel Cristofor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Silvano Casanova got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Cristofor came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Monty Rogers. But to his dismay, Monty Rogers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when John Skytt made the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, NECKER49's goalkeeper Joel Cristofor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. 65 minutes into the game, NECKER49's Silvano Casanova nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 67th match minute, NECKER49 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Gonzáles to maneuver through the defense. NECKER49's Benigno Piearres was substituted for Riki Čapo. In the 69th minute, Hugo Gonzáles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute Sam Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Cristofor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Casanova in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, NECKER49 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Elizardo to maneuver through the defense. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. After a rather tough play, NECKER49's Jeronimo Elizardo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. NECKER49's Joel Cristofor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save NECKER49 from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute Leandro Haritzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Benigno Piearres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benigno Piearres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.
