Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raimundo Padro, made in the 10th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play forced Aves Negras's goalkeeper Marcial Bakar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcial Bakar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcial Bakar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Aves Negras's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Marcial Bakar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emmanuel Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Marcial Bakar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Enrique Perico hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Aves Negras's Marcial Bakar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 41st minute of play. After 44 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Bakar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Aves Negras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Marcial Bakar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcial Bakar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Bakar made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Aves Negras's Aaron Gallagher was substituted for Humberto Urtsin. 66 minutes into the match, Guter Tobia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aves Negras's Efrain Artal was substituted for Guter Tobia. With a little luck, Aves Negras's Marcial Bakar got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 81 played minutes Aves Negras got a freekick which was hit by Marten Descamps. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Marcial Bakar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Artal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Artal might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efrain Artal ran back to his position shaking his head. 95 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Artal came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
