Juan-Ramón Verón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Juan-Ramón Verón notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 17th play minutes Juan-Ramón Verón shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Ceferino Quinteros hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Marcos Burni however easily saved by the left post. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan-Ramón Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Radowit Furlit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Marcos Burni made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. After 43 minutes of play, Berserkers FC Ψ's Juan-Ramón Verón made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan-Ramón Verón in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Juan-Ramón Verón ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Berserkers FC Ψ's Juan-Ramón Verón was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olliver Van Meirhaeghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radowit Furlit in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan-Ramón Verón got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Franco hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan-Ramón Verón. After 71 minutes, Kevin Carballal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Berserkers FC Ψ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Kevin Carballal hit a great ball. If Alberto Gisbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Olliver Van Meirhaeghe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Radowit Furlit got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Radowit Furlit sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso.
