Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gernando Cordeiro got the match started through his kick off. José Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 6th minute of play forced Catarinense F.C.'s goalkeeper José Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7thth minute of the game Gernando Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Cordeiro in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georgiy Voroshilov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Cordeiro in the 13th minute of play. José Chilavert was a little too slow when Cassius Byrne got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Cordeiro came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gernando Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. José Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georgiy Voroshilov in the 22nd minute of play. Amarante Sierra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georgiy Voroshilov in the 29th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Catarinense F.C. got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Ler ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 35th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cassius Byrne sped through Catarinense F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Chilavert. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Chilavert was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. José Chilavert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Monty Rogers's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Papacharalabous, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Catarinense F.C.'s José Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jenson Smith in the 59th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Georgiy Voroshilov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Day. That made the score 4-1 in the 60 minute of play. In the 65th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 70th minute of the match. Lucas Papacharalabous blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Day having to make a save. Catarinense F.C.'s Angel Diagur was substituted for Gernando Cordeiro. Monty Rogers might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Chilavert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Monty Rogers ran back to his position shaking his head. José Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalid Parry in the 80th minute of the match. Angel Diagur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Georgiy Voroshilov scored 4-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emanuel Mendiko was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 84 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Catarinense F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of USA:s goal. After some careless play in the Catarinense F.C. defense, Sam Campbell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Chilavert. The Catarinense F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Chilavert should have stopped the shot.
