The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Georgiy Voroshilov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Angel Diagur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute, Lucas Papacharalabous left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catarinense F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but Catarinense F.C. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
