XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 9th minute of play. Concetto Marinucci's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Concetto Marinucci helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Concetto Marinucci hit a great ball. Ennio De Nardis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 20th minute of play forced XMAS's goalkeeper Armando Polidori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 23rd minute of play. XMAS were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Panama's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ferruccio Cesaroni took the corner. The corner ended in Ferruccio Cesaroni almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla did a great save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Armando Polidori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio De Nardis in the 92nd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Panama had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
