Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Axel Montenegro scored 1-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronnie Gregoire, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Morera in the 45th minute of the match. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Ronnie Gregoire made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ronnie Gregoire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludomir Biraga in the 69th minute. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Morera in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Anselmo Morera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Anselmo Morera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Bahri Ülmen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bahri Ülmen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The throw-in from Luo Ao Le in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. After 92 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Mastache. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Morera in the 94th minute of play.
