In the 9th minute, Artur Marajda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Abandon All Hope was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Borczak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes Abandon All Hope got a freekick which was hit by Ye Hong. 17 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Meng Yan Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play forced Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meng Yan Jing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michal Arendarski went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Gilbert Gorzkiewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After 37 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Meng Yan Jing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 minutes of play, Abandon All Hope's Michal Arendarski made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Abandon All Hope booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michal Arendarski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Meng Yan Jing was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 56 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 73rd minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meng Yan Jing having to interfere. When Jiang Sang Qing fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abandon All Hope's protests and gave Jiang Sang Qing a yellow card for diving instead. Jiang Sang Qing hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, Abandon All Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiang Sang Qing to maneuver through the defense. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Abandon All Hope from getting a goal against them. The Abandon All Hope players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
