In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Locomotiva grena's goalkeeper Dorian Machado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Honduras booed when Locomotiva grena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Precioso Barcaiztegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Dito Mineiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-1 in the 20 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Locomotiva grena's Sixten Vallengren got a free kick in the 28th minute. Christian Farias short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Lautaro Navarro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dito Mineiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 38th minute of play forced Locomotiva grena's goalkeeper Dorian Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Faria's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Lautaro Navarro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dito Mineiro during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Mineiro in the 52nd minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ocampo to maneuver through the defense. Locomotiva grena's Flavinho Mello was substituted for Dito Mineiro. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gugu Fontes, made in the 71st minute of the game. Tomas Lewandowski scored 4-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Tomas Lewandowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Locomotiva grena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gugu Fontes in the 86 minute of the game. In the 86th match minute, Locomotiva grena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léopold Hennebert to maneuver through the defense. Dorian Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Locomotiva grena had won after a very even match.
