Arturo Carvallo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Joaquin Gayoso, a very annoying self made goal in the 20th minute which led to 1-1. Erik Pihlblad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 24th minute of play. Alvarez Håland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvarez Håland. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 47th minute of play forced Ipro Demiga Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Erik Pihlblad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Alvarez Håland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 53 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Rafe came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ipro Demiga Fútbol Club's Alfredo Mon got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Erik Pihlblad in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andres Guerau kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Camilo Franco from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Erik Pihlblad's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 95 minutes into the game, Yakov Abramov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipro Demiga Fútbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. Uruguay's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ipro Demiga Fútbol Club had won, even though Uruguay had held more of the ball.
