Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mariano Ibañez might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. FERRARI's Cesar Godet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 26th minute of play. FERRARI's Cesar Godet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save FERRARI from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, FERRARI's Cesar Godet got control of the ball when Camilo Franco tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 42nd minute of play forced FERRARI's goalkeeper Cesar Godet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Godet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle went the supporters of FERRARI were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Uruguay side.
