Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Apostolos Mavrokordatos got the match started through his kick off. Theodosis Kassapis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Cambeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Horses the free kick. After 9 played minutes Green Horses got a freekick which was hit by Ntinos Farmakis. 14 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Theodosis Kassapis, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Theodosis Kassapis. Green Horses's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Notis Bartzokas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Notis Bartzokas in the 26th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Theodosis Kassapis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theodosis Kassapis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute Sotiris Barberopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes of play, Green Horses's Sotiris Barberopoulos made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Notis Bartzokas in the 41st minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Apostolos Mavrokordatos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Babbis Markatos hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th of the match, Olof Dalström tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Marcos Cotilla got in the way and made a wonderful save. A nice corner shot did that Olof Dalström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Cotilla quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Theodosis Kassapis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodosis Kassapis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theodosis Kassapis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 66 minutes of play Green Horses's Babbis Markatos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Panama booed when Green Horses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babbis Markatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olof Dalström ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Sotiris Barberopoulos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Cotilla quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Green Horses's Theodosis Kassapis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Green Horses getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ntinos Farmakis hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodosis Kassapis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Panama had played much better football throughout.
