Tage Classon charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tage Classon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of El Salvador booed when The Mongols was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tage Classon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Albert Hernström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 9 minutes into the match, The Mongols's Albert Hernström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, William Vallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and William Vallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jesus Carvallo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the The Mongols defense, Moises Fernandino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magne Smefeldt. The The Mongols fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magne Smefeldt should have stopped the shot. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Vallin in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Abram Luque hit a great ball. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 32 minutes of play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Magne Smefeldt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice moves Torsten Säv could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Ricardo Zorita however easily saved by the left post. In the 38th minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by The Mongols's Albert Hernström. But to his dismay, Albert Hernström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Charles Colin hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The The Mongols players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Salvador were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Moises Fernandino took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magne Smefeldt. Magne Smefeldt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. When The Mongols's William Vallin in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesus Carvallo during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see The Mongols's William Vallin in action when he in the 58th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Jesus Carvallo off the ground. Jesus Carvallo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, William Vallin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move. The audience was convinced that Albert Hernström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Moises Fernandino could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Magne Smefeldt however easily saved by the left post. 77 minutes into the game, Charles Colin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Mongols's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Salvador the free kick. After 77 played minutes The Mongols got a freekick which was hit by Charles Colin. Abram Luque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Smefeldt having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Luis Rubio in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Mongols's Ola Edström. Abram Luque struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Magne Smefeldt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. After 91 played minutes The Mongols got a freekick which was hit by Charles Colin. The long shot by Marco Tamayo in the 92nd minute really tested Magne Smefeldt's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Moises Fernandino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Magne Smefeldt. That made the score 1-6 in the 94 minute of play.
