Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Ove Eliasson. Sven-Ove Eliasson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Liden FF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Marcu Vlas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Marcu Vlas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven-Ove Eliasson was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute. In the 32nd match minute, Liden FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Sundberg to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 41st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Liden FF's Edvard Sundberg got a free kick in the 46th minute. Sven-Ove Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Vennersten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcu Vlas scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Liden FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Vennersten didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Liden FF's Sven-Ove Eliasson got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line.
