Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Seco started the match with the kick off. Ivar Ivarsson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Leif Engström hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Östersunds FK's goalkeeper Niklas Rudkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Vennersten in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niklas Rudkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bo Hake blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Maximiliano Escribano made a precise shot to the right of Niklas Rudkvist. Östersunds FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 23 played minutes Östersunds FK got a freekick which was hit by Leif Engström. After a defensive mix-up in Östersunds FK's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Rudkvist came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Östersunds FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Greger Collin in the 35th minute. The corner led Östersunds FK's Greger Collin to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Niklas Rudkvist made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Seco to maneuver through the defense. When Östersunds FK's Ragnar Vennersten in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ragnar Vennersten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Östersunds FK getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bo Hake hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Östersunds FK's Ragnar Vennersten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Jaime Cazalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Niklas Rudkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 65th minute of play forced Östersunds FK's goalkeeper Niklas Rudkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leif Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Joaquin Gayoso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ragnar Vennersten in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Ragnar Vennersten put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. 77 minutes into the match, Ragnar Vennersten dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso, 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leif Engström got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Norberg's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Norberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Östersunds FK got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Norberg. Chants of Östersunds FK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Uruguay had held the ball for most of the match.
