In the 7th minute Ivan Falck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Charles Kristiansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Mosh Pit's Ivan Falck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Olof Löv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven Låsberg's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Låsberg helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eskil Rolandsson during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Mosh Pit got a freekick which was hit by Eskil Rolandsson. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Charles Kristiansson. Mosh Pit's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Kristiansson. Charles Kristiansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Sune Kleen kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A hard shot 43 in the game by Sune Kleen from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. In the 45th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mosh Pit defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charles Kristiansson. The Mosh Pit fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charles Kristiansson should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Falck to make the kick off. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Charles Kristiansson made a huge save. Charles Kristiansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Mosh Pit's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Charles Kristiansson quite easily take care of the ball. Sune Kleen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Charles Kristiansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Mosh Pit's Charles Kristiansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Mosh Pit from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Charles Kristiansson in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd match minute, Mosh Pit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sune Kleen to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador played a much better game than Mosh Pit and deserved their victory. The Mosh Pit players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
