An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Bastard in the 12th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Bobby Bastard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Band Of Brothers's goalkeeper Hami Tuna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Caniggia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Bastard in the 24th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes, Gerardo Pozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Band Of Brothers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gerardo Pozo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Band Of Brothers's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carl Caniggia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 42 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hami Tuna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Band Of Brothers's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Hami Tuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 54th minute Bobby Bastard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hami Tuna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 56th minute. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Hami Tuna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. The audience was convinced that Carl Caniggia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Hami Tuna made a huge save. Band Of Brothers's Vilgot Falk was substituted for Vilgot Jansson. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hami Tuna came out and tried to block the shot, but Mariano Lacasa slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 70th minute. The supporters of Chile booed when Band Of Brothers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Engström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Holmgren in the 76th minute of the match. Hami Tuna made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Guillermo Fontirroig's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hami Tuna firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 83rd minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Band Of Brothers's goalkeeper Hami Tuna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Band Of Brothers's Hami Tuna. Hami Tuna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Band Of Brothers made a substitution. Evgenij Davydov replaced Carl Caniggia. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
