The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 66th minute of play forced Racing Comunicaciones's goalkeeper Laureano Belasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Belasko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Belasko was a little too slow when Isidoro Sarmiento got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-3. After 91 played minutes Racing Comunicaciones got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Emmanuel. After 93 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Panama had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
