If Godfredo Emmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Lautaro Navarro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Godfredo Emmanuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Godfredo Emmanuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Rodolfo Hanot made the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Hanot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Faustino Egoitz fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Comunicaciones's protests and gave Faustino Egoitz a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Racing Comunicaciones got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Egoitz. The supporters of Racing Comunicaciones booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godfredo Emmanuel struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Comunicaciones. The audience was convinced that Godfredo Emmanuel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The Racing Comunicaciones fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
