Ashley Milburn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wasyl Milko in the 19th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tanek Lewicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Banaszak in the 33rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wit Dziuma in the 35th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Wit Dziuma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 46th minute. If Sebastian Mitus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wasyl Milko went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 54 minutes, Sebastian Mitus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gedaithen Czomolungma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Mitus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wit Dziuma in the 62nd minute of play. The corner ended in Arkadiusz Banaszak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. In the 67thth minute of the game Wasyl Milko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Milburn having to interfere. In the 78th minute Wasyl Milko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute Wit Dziuma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ashley Milburn came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Mitus in the 90th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Arkadiusz Banaszak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
