Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Donici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Yang Ming Ran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Iordache Donici slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Iordache Donici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Cezar Rizea kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Herminio Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Iordache Donici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Iordache Donici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 28th minute of play forced C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Yang Ming Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A collision led to C Ａ R D I N Ａ L getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Filip Tăcutu hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Cazimir Bărbătescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 61st play minutes Herminio Vincente shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deng Kun Xu in the 63rd minute of play. If Herminio Vincente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yang Ming Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalie prevented a goal. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Sergiu Panaitescu was substituted for Iordache Donici. Teodoro Gotzon hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yang Ming Ran having to interfere. In the 80thth minute of the game Herminio Vincente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Herminio Vincente in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Herminio Vincente. But to his dismay, Herminio Vincente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 93rd minute Herminio Vincente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
