Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Maxim Sfetcu kicked off to start the match. BVB 09's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iacob Vernescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Ieremia in the 12th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Vernescu in the 13th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Sfetcu in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisc Bîndean in the 21st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Maxim Sfetcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Maxim Sfetcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Sfetcu in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match BVB 09 got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Codrin Ieremia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Codrin Ieremia charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Codrin Ieremia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Codrin Ieremia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Zygmunt Koprowski made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Sfetcu in the 33rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BVB 09's Zygmunt Koprowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save BVB 09 from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goalkeeper Zygmunt Koprowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. In the 41st minute, Avram Iurea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maxim Sfetcu took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 55th minute of the match Codrin Ieremia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Codrin Ieremia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Iurea in the 62nd minute of the match. BVB 09's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Francisc Bîndean in the 63rd minute. The corner ended in Francisc Bîndean almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Avram Iurea hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Ştefan Cocârlă kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Zygmunt Koprowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 71st minute of the match. If Matei Chelaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Chelaru in the 94th minute of play. The BVB 09 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BVB 09 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
