Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan-Luis Caballero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Juan-Luis Caballero came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Beticostrogodo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan-Luis Caballero couldn't finish the play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Beticostrogodo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sven Jansson quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan-Luis Caballero, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Beticostrogodo's Sven Jansson did a great save. Sven Jansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 19th minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven Jansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Beticostrogodo getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Tome Rivera hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Cifuentes in the 39th minute of the match. Beticostrogodo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Giraldo Martinez in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Giraldo Martinez, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Juan-Luis Caballero kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Rosendo Cifuentes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rosendo Cifuentes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan-Luis Caballero to make the kick off. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Sven Jansson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 53rdth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beticostrogodo's Sven Jansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Beticostrogodo's Sven Jansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Beticostrogodo from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Beticostrogodo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sven Jansson quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Sven Jansson in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Sven Jansson threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Cifuentes in the 67th minute of play. Rosendo Cifuentes struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beticostrogodo. Beticostrogodo made a substitution. José Higuera replaced Godfredo Gene. Rosendo Cifuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sven Jansson. That made the score 1-3 after 80 minutes of play. Beticostrogodo's Dalmai Barba was substituted for Juan-Luis Caballero. Beticostrogodo made a substitution. Truylos Baltanas replaced Ambrosio Dellasierra. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Jansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Sven Jansson made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Higuera in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
