José Pedro Abraão was a little too slow when Finlay Stair got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 38th match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karlus Waugh to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jorge Sá hit a great ball. Jamaica's Finlay Stair couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Morro Grande E.C. 44 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Meira came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Demonde Jacobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldinho Meira was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Christiano Trevisan made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ronaldinho Meira had several of the Jamaica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Demonde Jacobson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ronaldinho Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Demonde Jacobson made a huge save. After 68 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Leron Sale. Jorginho Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldinho Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Demonde Jacobson made a huge save. The supporters of Jamaica booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 minutes Jamaica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Augusto Travassos who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Morro Grande E.C's José Augusto Travassos to fire away a dangerous shot which Demonde Jacobson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 88th minute, Ronaldinho Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Kaká Sampaio got a free kick in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Morro Grande E.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
