Ciccio Rava showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Carlos Bueno sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Carlos Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Bueno in the 24th minute of play. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in 33 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ciccio Rava guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 39th minute, Carlos Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ASI NOMAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chepe Margarita didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Carlos Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Mattin Oterino hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Carlos Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Carlos Bueno could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post.

Umea Villaseñor hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. ASI NOMAS FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chico Serna took the corner. After taking down the ball on ASI NOMAS FC's corner Chico Serna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Ciccio Rava in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Carlos Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Carlos Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ciccio Rava in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, ASI NOMAS FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
