In the 20th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilias Lazarou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ilias Lazarou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 53 played minutes Punisher got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Ishmael. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilias Lazarou having to interfere. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Punisher's goalkeeper Ilias Lazarou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 65th minute. Cristian Sancho made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Punisher's Ilias Lazarou managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitris Loukanidis couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermengildo Ishmael in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Punisher had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
