The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. In the 5th minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nestor Romero. Nestor Romero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wladimir Jungwirth in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Werderaner 04 Volkssport were awarded a corner. Keith Harms went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 12thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Nestor Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Nestor Romero in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Werderaner 04 Volkssport's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. After 15 minutes, Bob Seebens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Werderaner 04 Volkssport and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18thth minute of the game Wladimir Jungwirth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Wladimir Jungwirth made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Nestor Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Werderaner 04 Volkssport from getting a goal against them. Nestor Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Fontirroig in the 30th minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wladimir Jungwirth in the 34th minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wladimir Jungwirth, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wladimir Jungwirth in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Wladimir Jungwirth came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Werderaner 04 Volkssport made a substitution. Loy Oelbeck replaced Keith Harms. Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Nestor Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 87th minute of play. Nestor Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
