After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theodosis Kassapis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Green Horses's Theodosis Kassapis got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 28 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Green Horses players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Notis Bartzokas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodosis Kassapis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Apostolos Mavrokordatos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Vaios Petridis in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 45th match minute, Green Horses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apostolos Mavrokordatos to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Apostolos Mavrokordatos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60thth minute of the game Apostolos Mavrokordatos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Ntinos Farmakis struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Horses. 72 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Theodosis Kassapis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaios Petridis in the 79th minute of play. Loukas Brizolakis hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Green Horses got a freekick which was hit by Loukas Brizolakis. Notis Bartzokas came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. 89 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theodosis Kassapis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 91 played minutes Green Horses got a freekick which was hit by Babbis Markatos. For all the effort they put into the match, the Green Horses players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Venezuela.
