Werderaner 04 Volkssport's Nestor Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Werderaner 04 Volkssport from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Werderaner 04 Volkssport's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Romero came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariano Lacasa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nestor Romero. That made the score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. 24 minutes in the game Benno Schellhase did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Basil Lübeck. The audience was convinced that Wladimir Jungwirth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Nestor Romero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Basil Lübeck charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basil Lübeck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Werderaner 04 Volkssport got a freekick which was hit by Basil Lübeck. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Ulrich in the 65th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, one of Werderaner 04 Volkssport:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Werderaner 04 Volkssport. Nestor Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 73rd minute of play. When Andi Misenta came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Werderaner 04 Volkssport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andi Misenta couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute Anselm Kempe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes in the game Bob Seebens did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Steven Grund. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Anselm Kempe tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 94th minute of play forced Werderaner 04 Volkssport's goalkeeper Nestor Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Werderaner 04 Volkssport succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Chile had controlled the match.
