Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haldun Orkutay, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Honduras's Christian Sancho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Yiğitcan Özaktuğ, made in the 32nd minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Ecevit Vefa in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Christian Sancho. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. Baki Sarper kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Sebastian Villa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Ali Çokman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haldun Orkutay got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Ali Çokman was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Melik Kayansel made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. Melik Kayansel made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ecevit Vefa immediately put the ball in play. Moises Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melik Kayansel made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ecevit Vefa. 87 minutes into the match, Ahmetli JK's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Ahmet Ali Çokman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Harun Temirkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Ali Çokman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 91st minute of play. If Cabbar User had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honduras's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
