Caco Moura started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes The Globo Red got a freekick which was hit by Uygur Demirer. After 7 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Caco Moura sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Globo Red the free kick. A sloppy throw-in by Guillermo Mariano in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Globo Red's Dominik Webb. In the 35thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Globo Red's Don Bray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Caco Moura's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Rudolf Rus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Rus in the 54th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes The Globo Red got a freekick which was hit by Will Budden. In the 60th minute, Caco Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Globo Red fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 65thth minute of the game Caco Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to The Globo Red getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Will Budden hit a great ball. In the 70th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Bray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caco Moura struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Globo Red. The supporters of Venezuela booed when The Globo Red was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Caco Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 79 minutes, Caco Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Globo Red's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Bray having to interfere. Caco Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Rus in the 90th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
