Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tolek Jaroszewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Acid Drinkers's goalie prevented a goal. Salvador Gisbert made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Acid Drinkers's Konstanty Czeszyk. Tolek Jaroszewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute of play. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Konstanty Czeszyk, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Dobromir Grondzki kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Tolek Jaroszewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Barnaba Kisielka dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-1. Grzegorz Chrobak hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnaba Kisielka in the 54th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Dobromir Grondzki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acid Drinkers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tolek Jaroszewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Luis Gaspard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tolek Jaroszewicz. That made the score 5-2 after 82 minutes of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
