Pegaso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador made a substitution. Diego Mancebo replaced Cristian Sancho. After 3 played minutes Pegaso FC got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Sagulin. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andres Pello went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the match, Pegaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Imran Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gisbert made in the 17th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Pello came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Pello in the 38th minute of the match. After 39 minutes, Eamon Snow mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pegaso FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Pegaso FC got a freekick which was hit by Eamon Snow. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Imran Johnsson made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Imran Johnsson in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Imran Johnsson made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Andres Pello scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pegaso FC's Franklin do Nascimento was substituted for Andres Pello. In the 75th minute of the match Pegaso FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marco Nocedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Marco Nocedo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. The audience cheered when Marco Nocedo's long shot passed Julio Vera's right side. It was 3-1, 75 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Imran Johnsson in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Pegaso FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Pegaso FC's goalie and right to Diego Mancebo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Pegaso FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin do Nascimento in the 88th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Imran Johnsson. Imran Johnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, Pegaso FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
