Nicolas Satordi's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Satordi to maneuver through the defense. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Javiar in the 7th minute of play. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carmelo Gorka in the 9th minute. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Nicolas Satordi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Rudolf Meulman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 15th minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Javiar in the 17th minute of play. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Rudolf Meulman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Inguma to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolas Satordi in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carmelo Gorka was slow to take the kick. During this time Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's players had a chance to rest. Tommi Valkama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Satordi took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Meulman came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicolas Satordi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thiago Pliego. That made the score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rudolf Meulman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 56th minute of play forced Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalkeeper Rudolf Meulman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudolf Meulman. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Javiar in the 65th minute of the match. Chile's Alan Tamayo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Satordi in the 92nd minute of the match. After 94 minutes, Gerardo Pozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Olimpo de Bahia Blanca players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Javiar in the 95th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chile for a fine match.
