Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Mühendisbey getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Baran Korucu hit a great ball. In the 11th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Björn Gernberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 15th minute of the match. If Nazım Karahan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Nazım Karahan came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Mühendisbey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nazım Karahan couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Tomas Illescas could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Björn Gernberg however easily saved by the left post. In the 57th minute, Esat Ayvazoğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Mühendisbey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Necati Yürük didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 played minutes Mühendisbey got a freekick which was hit by Baran Korucu. 65 minutes in the game Mustafa Necati Yürük did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Esat Ayvazoğlu. Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th of the match, Patricio Costa tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Björn Gernberg got in the way and made a wonderful save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazım Karahan in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute of play forced Mühendisbey's goalkeeper Björn Gernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 85th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nazım Karahan, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Nazım Karahan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Nazım Karahan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mühendisbey players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
