Borys Poreda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borys Poreda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassius Byrne's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Borys Poreda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cassius Byrne went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Borys Poreda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 13th minute of play. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Dragolyub Dzhahov sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 23rd minute of play forced Victoria Toruń's goalkeeper Borys Poreda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Dragolyub Dzhahov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Victoria Toruń's supporters rose to their feet, but Dragolyub Dzhahov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cassius Byrne scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Borys Poreda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Victoria Toruń getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Dragolyub Dzhahov hit a great ball. With his leg Marco Day managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Victoria Toruń's Naci Kac fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naci Kac made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 61st minute of play forced Victoria Toruń's goalkeeper Borys Poreda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borys Poreda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Poreda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. Victoria Toruń's Borys Poreda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalid Parry in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute Marco Baker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Poreda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Victoria Toruń fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
