After 52 played minutes MINAS TIRITH got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Mardarie. In the 54th minute Liviu Vlăsiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's attentive Jose Correa managed to snatch the ball when Gelu Scaeru made a throw-in in the 84th minute of the game. Liviu Vlăsiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Gelu Scaeru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
