The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

ASI NOMAS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valente Queto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Carlos Bueno sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute of play forced ASI NOMAS FC's goalkeeper Ciccio Rava to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ASI NOMAS FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Gaona didn't get a good kick on the ball.
