Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Giotis Michailidis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Giotis Michailidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvin van der Saar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argi Villar in the 13th minute of play. After 15 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oliver-James Gol who took care of the corner kick. Oliver-James Gol made a great header on Someliéri's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Montenegro in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvin van der Saar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Someliéri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luis Andino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Someliéri's Edvin van der Saar did a great save. In the 19th minute Argi Villar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Someliéri's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edvin van der Saar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argi Villar, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Someliéri's Edvin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giotis Michailidis in the 26th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giotis Michailidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Edvin van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play forced Someliéri's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Argi Villar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvin van der Saar having to make a save. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edvin van der Saar firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 52nd match minute, Someliéri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Laurendi to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Someliéri's Edvin van der Saar got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After taking down the ball on Someliéri's corner Oliver-James Gol fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Edvin van der Saar made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute Giotis Michailidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador. The referee gave Someliéri a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oliver-James Gol, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 4-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, Someliéri could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
