The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Grzegorz Jajecznica came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Grzegorz Jajecznica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Alfred Ewertowski sent off a good shot on target. Michael Krawczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Victorino Frederik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 18th minute of play forced Goral Zywiec's goalkeeper Michael Krawczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Goral Zywiec:s Michael Krawczyk showed great skill when he stopped Axel Montenegro:s penalty. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute Grzegorz Jajecznica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Goral Zywiec's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Michael Krawczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victorino Frederik made a kick off. Abram Secada in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Michael Krawczyk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The corner ended in Orlando Tafalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Goral Zywiec's Michael Krawczyk did a great save. Luis Cazalla made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Goral Zywiec's Michael Krawczyk managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 89th minute, Abram Secada reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Michael Krawczyk. The goal made the score 1-1. Michael Krawczyk made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Santino Seco sent off a good shot on target.
