Salmuera CP's Pablo Martinez got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Pablo Martinez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pablo Martinez struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salmuera CP. Ruperto Maria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 31st minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Duca in the 33rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Maria was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Pablo Martinez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thiago Pliego. That made the score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. When Hồ Kyhn fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salmuera CP's protests and gave Hồ Kyhn a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Hồ Kyhn got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Maria was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Salmuera CP players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Costin Duca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 89th minute of play forced Salmuera CP's goalkeeper Ruperto Maria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Ruperto Maria managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
