Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Bjursell having to interfere. In the 7th minute Zlatan sucks were awarded a corner. Melquiades Osasun went to the cornerflag to take it. Krzysztof Kornatowski was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Bergdal came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced Zlatan sucks's goalkeeper Edgar Bjursell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Oskar Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sune Bergdal in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 25th minute. Edgar Bjursell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Fritz Berghmans tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Zlatan sucks's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Edgar Bjursell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sune Bergdals short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 39 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Sune Bergdal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sune Bergdal to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sune Bergdal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sune Bergdal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sune Bergdal in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Karl-Oskar Strömberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Edgar Bjursell to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Zlatan sucks booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Osasun came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Bjursell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fritz Berghmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sune Bergdal in the 85th minute of play. Edgar Bjursell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 89th minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgar Bjursell in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 93rd minute of the match Krzysztof Kornatowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball.
